Using the Centre

Who can use CUC Snowy Monaro?

Anyone undertaking tertiary education! Whether that’s a university course, TAFE course or any other courses above high school level. We do allow Year 12s to use the Centre under certain conditions. To get your registration started, please fill out this form or book an appointment to do it in person!

How do I access the building?

Once you register as a student with CUCSM, you will receive secure access to the building via your phone after your in-person orientation. Until then, you will not be able to access the building without staff assistance.

When can I use the Centre?

Whenever you like, as long as it is between the hours of 5am and 2am (any day). The Centre is generally staffed from 9am to 5pm weekdays, so if you want to register as a student or receive study-related support, it will need to be during those hours.

Is the Centre open on public holidays?

Yes! We are open to registered students every day of the year, but if for whatever reason the Centre needs to be closed, students will be notified.

Can highschoolers use the Centre?

Only year 12 students who register with us can use the Centre once CUCSM staff have received parental/guardian consent. If they are under 18 years old, they must inform a CUCSM staff member when they would like to come to the Centre so we can ensure a responsible adult is on site. Therefore, under 18s can only come during regular business hours (9am – 5pm) with prior staff permission.

Are there any fees?

It doesn’t cost anything to be a student with CUCSM! We rely on funding to continue supporting students in our region, so if you would like to support us, you can do so here. Every bit counts!

Can I do exams at the Centre?

Absolutely! We have exam dedicated computers for proctored exams and spaces where you can complete online or written exams. Please make sure you book a space through our portal and make it clear that it is for an exam. We also offer invigilation, but this needs to be organised between CUCSM staff members and your learning institution. Find more information here.
